IBEC’s New Horizons in Romania: a business mission by Board member to Bucharest
On March 6-11, 2019 Olga Voinea, a member of the IBEC Board for Romania, undertook a business mission to Bucharest for high-level discussions of further business and networking opportunities for Romanian counterparties with IBEC and its member states.
During the trip Ms. Voinea met with top officials of the Romanian Ministry of Business Environment, Commerce and Entrepreneurship as well as Ministry of Public Finance.
The parties expressed assurances of mutual highest consideration and agreed to support and expand working contacts, including a possibility of arranging public events.
Besides, Ms. Voinea had fruitful meetings with Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a number of commercial entities which permitted the Romanian side to get first-hand information on IBEC’s status and co-operation opportunities.
IBEC considers Romania to be an important partner in the rapid growth of the Bank’s trade finance volumes which is a vital part of the IBEC Updated Development Strategy for the period up to 2020.
