IBEC participates in 4th meeting of Industrial Co-operation Working Group under Russian-Slovak Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical Co-operation
IBEC Head of Client Relationship Management Alexandra Matveeva and Head of Credit Peter Oswald participated in the 4th meeting of the Industrial Co-operation Working Group under the Russian-Slovak Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical Co-operation, which was held in Vysoké Tatry, Slovakia, on 15 October 2018.
The meeting was co-chaired by head of European Countries Division of the International Cooperation Department at the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade Nato Trotsenko and head of the industrial development section at the Slovak Ministry of Economy Andrea Farkašová. The meeting was attended by other representatives of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Slovak Ministry of Economy as well as financial and business representatives from both countries.
Key topics on the agenda included co-operation initiatives in a number of manufacturing sectors such as aerospace, car production, chemicals and textiles as well as digital technology. Participants took a positive view on ongoing projects and agreed to continue seeking further co-operation opportunities.
At the request of the co-chairs, the IBEC delegation made a presentation of the Bank, its business development outlook and CEE export finance projects.
In addition to participating in the meeting of the Industrial Co-operation Working Group, the IBEC delegation visited the Bratislava headquarters of Eximbanka SR, the Slovak export and import bank, where the parties discussed joint finance initiatives for supporting Slovak exports.
The IBEC has been consistently developing dialogue with the Slovak Republic, attaching fundamental importance to CEE markets as a platform for business growth along the lines of the Bratislava Concept adopted by the IBEC Council in June 2018.
