IBEC and VEOLIA signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at joint projects implementation in the member countries
February 19, 2019 at the headquarters of the International Bank for Economic Co-operation (IBEC), a delegation of the Bank led by the Chairman of the Board Denis Ivanov held a meeting with delegation of the global holding company Veolia Environnement led by the CEO of VEOLIA Central & Eastern Europe SA, Mr. Philippe Guitard.
The parties discussed cooperation opportunities in the areas of trade finance, cash management services, liquidity management tools and hedging products.
During the meeting, IBEC and Veolia signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at close cooperation between IBEC and Veolia in the implementation of joint projects in the fields of energy, water management, and waste management in the Bank's member countries. In accordance with the provisions of the Memorandum, the IBEC will consider the possibility of providing financial support to international projects of the Veolia Environnement Group and providing the full range of services to the participants of the transactions, including the organization of settlements.

The group specializes in three areas of activity: water treatment/purification, water supply and wastewater disposal (for both municipal and industrial customers), a full cycle of waste management (including collection, sorting and recycling), energy (electricity supply, heat supply, installation and maintenance of energy and heating equipment). Veolia’s strategy involves further capacity building in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, including the IBEC member countries, and capital investments in existing and new infrastructure.
