IBEC Participates in the 18th Meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Slovak Commission on Trade-and-Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation.
Ms. Irina Golovchenko, Chairman of the IBEC’s Board, within the official delegation, participated in the 18th meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Slovak Commission on Trade-and-Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation chaired by Mr. Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and Mr. Peter Žiga, Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic.
In the course of the meeting, there was an increased focus on the issues of development of bilateral cooperation for the purposes of expanding and deepening trade and economic relations, full-fledged utilization of investment potential of the two countries, and making interaction of business communities more active.
The parties have supported the extension of cooperation of the International Bank for Economic Co-operation with the Russian and Slovak banks and its participation in the projects of trade financing and making settlements with economic entities of the two countries.
The Agreement on Cooperation between the IBEC and the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) and the Agreement on Cooperation between the IBEC and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Slovak Republic were also signed in the course of the meeting.
Representatives of the IBEC delegation, who took part in activities of the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, held a number of consultations and meetings with representatives of organizations of the Russian Federation and the Slovak Republic.
